Andrew Ellis Cox of Damascus, 11, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Colquitt Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Fletcher Sheffield and Rev. Ron Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow at Sheffield Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Colquitt Funeral Home.
Andrew attended Kimbrel Chapel Church of God and was a fifth grade student at Miller County Elementary School.  He is survived by his parents, Stacy and Teresa Cox of Damascus; two brothers, Matthew Bennett Cox and Clayton Earl Cox both of Damascus; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Helen Gowan of Bainbridge; paternal grandparents, Gladys Cox and the late Kenneth Earl Cox of Baker County; Maternal great grandmother Ann Weaver of Colquitt; Aunt Sherry and Uncle Doug Young of Bainbridge; Uncle James Ellis Gowan of Bainbridge; Uncle Chuck Cox of Baker County; cousin Garyn King of Bainbridge; and lots of other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
