Curtis Ross Ragan

Curtis Ross Ragan, 75, of Dawsonville passed away October 28, 2013 in Hospice care at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Born September 26, 1938 in Grady County, GA to the late Eddie Ross and Evelyn Kinchen Ragan, he spent his school years in Decatur County. Upon graduating from high school he served in the U. S. Air Force after which he began a career with the Department of Defense. Mr. Ragan served with military and civilian units throughout the world defending and protecting our United States of America. After retiring he returned to his beloved State of Georgia and has lived in Dawson County since 1993. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Billy Ragan.
Curtis leaves his wife of 56 years, Nelda Medora Pollock Ragan, Dawsonville; his children and their spouces, David and Becky Ragan, Alexandria, LA, Bradley and Lisa Ragan, Waleska, Deborah and Duncan Hoopes, Tampa, FL. He adored and cherished his 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren and is also survived by his sisters and brothers in law, Elaine and Cuy Knight, Jackson, GA, Barbara and Norman Rasmussen, Bainbridge; and a sister in law, Anne Ragan, Milledgeville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday October 31, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery.
