The Grace Christian Academy volleyball team finished their regular season 15-4 and is the GISA 3AA Region Champion. The season isn’t over for Coach Erwin Harrell and his Lady Cougars, who are Augusta-bound for the state championship.

Having a pass for the first round, the team starts playing in the second round quarterfinals this Friday at 1 p.m. against John Hancock Academy (3-2), the second place team in GISA 1AA. Six other teams will meet in Augusta for the two-day tournament. Semifinal matches are Friday evening followed by the championship game on Saturday.

This is GCA’s first year as GISA region champs in a team sports. The team has raked in more wins than any other GCA volleyball team.
