Amanda Knight Lanier, age 23, of Bowling Green, Ky., passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2013, due to a complication from a bone marrow transplant.
A private service will be held for the immediate family in September.
Amanda was born in Columbia, S.C. on Sept. 7, 1989. She graduated from Tift County High School and attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton.
She is survived by her parents, Dr. Randall and Kathy Lanier of Bowling Green; brother, Martin Lanier and sister, Callie Lanier, both of Valdosta, Ga.; a grandmother, Mabel Martin, formerly of Bainbridge, Ga., now of Madison, Tenn., as well as her furry friends of comfort, including Harley, Pepper, Izzy, and Honey Bee.

The family of Amanda Lanier wishes to thank the staff of the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Kidney Center, and Intensive Care Unit for their superior care given during her stay there.
The Cremation Society of Minnesota was in charge of arrangements.
