Justin Schuver, managing editor of Bainbridge Media, LLC, publishers of The Post-Searchlight, Bainbridge Living, Rifle & Rod, and affiliated websites, has been named president of Atmore Newspapers, Inc. and publisher of the Atmore Advance in Alabama.

Bainbridge Media, LLC and Atmore Newspapers, Inc. are part of the Boone Newspapers, Inc organization of Tuscaloosa, AL. A new managing editor of The Post-Searchlight will be named at a later date.

“It was a very difficult decision to leave Bainbridge and The Post-Searchlight,” Schuver said. “I have made some great friends and have enjoyed being a part of this wonderful community for two years. At the same time, I am quite excited about the challenges and opportunities that are ahead for me in Atmore.”

Schuver, 30, is originally from Gadsden, Ala. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in May 2005. While in Bainbridge, Schuver was involved in the Bainbridge Rotary Club, the United Way, and the Bainbridge Little Theater.

“Justin has certainly earned this opportunity in Atmore, we are proud of him and proud for him,” said Jeff Findley, publisher of the The Post-Searchlight. “In just two short years, Justin made his mark in Bainbridge, at the newspaper and in the community. I am sure he will do the same in Atmore, he will be missed in Bainbridge.”

 

Schuver began work in Atmore Monday.
