Jack Milford Maxwell, 78, of Camilla, Ga., died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Camilla Retirement Village.

Funeral services were Tuesday, July 30, at Union Springs Baptist Church in Grady County, Ga., with interment in Maxwell Hill Cemetery in Decatur County. The Rev. Doug Hall will officiate.

Pallbearers will include Ike Maxwell, Mark Maxwell, Paul Maxwell, Cuy Harrell IV, Chris Harrell, Billy Maxwell, Stephen Maxwell and Murray Maxwell.

Born May 26, 1935, in Decatur County, Mr. Maxwell was the son of the late Mather M. “Buck” and Edrie Perkins Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lori Ann Maxwell; a son, David F. Maxwell; and siblings, Wayne Maxwell, Ellen M. Strickland, Franklin Maxwell, and Joe Maxwell.

Mr. Maxwell was an equipment and automotive salesman. He was former owner and operator of Maxwell Ford Tractor Company for many years. He was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Tim Maxwell and wife, Latricia, of Camilla; two granddaughters, Kelley Joyner and husband, Luke, of Camilla and Holli Sapp and husband, Jarrell, of Camilla; five great grandchildren, Baley, Jhett, and Sallie Sapp and Maxwell and Hank Joyner;  six brothers, Tom Maxwell and wife, Diane, Bob Maxwell and wife, Evelyn, Billy Maxwell and wife, Vanita, Buck Maxwell and wife, Martha, Steve Maxwell and wife, Susan, James “Chub” Maxwell and wife, Susan, all of Decatur County;  a sister, Ann Harrell and husband, Cuy Harrell III, of Grady County; and several nieces and nephews.
