Margaret Horsley Munford, 71, of 11424 Franklin Turnpike, Chatham, Va., went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 20, 2013, while a patient at Danville Regional Medical Center.
She born Feb. 28, 1942, in Pittsylvania County, Va. to the late Virginia Holley Horsley and the late Edgar Samuel Horsley. Mrs. Munford was married to the late Bobby Lee Munford. She worked in the research lab of Dan River Mills, Inc., for a number of years and was a homemaker most of her life. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Mrs. Munford is survived by four children: Debbie Sizemore and husband, Robert, of Bainbridge, Kathy Morgan and husband, Richard, of Colquitt, Ga., Bobby Lee Munford and wife, Betina, of Danville, and Cindy Hughes and husband, Jason, of Chatham; one sister, Joan Wyatt and husband, Les of Wilmington, N.C.; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one great step-grandchild. She also leaves behind a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, July 23, at Liberty Baptist Church, 18529 Franklin Turnpike, Callands, Va., with the Rev. Daryl Joyce officiating.
