ENGAGED: Kim Robinson and Tal Robinson

Greg and Marcy Robinson of Sacramento, Calif., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kim Robinson, of Anchorage, Alaska, to Tal Robinson, also of Anchorage. The groom is the son of Dr. Don and Mary Robinson of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Charles Robinson of Sacramento, the late Shirley Robinson, and of the late Fred and Florence Carash.

She is a 2003 graduate of Christian Brothers High School. In 2007, she graduated from Eastern Washington University with a degree in psychology. She will receive a Master’s in Intelligence Studies in the fall of 2013. She is employed by the Department of Justice.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Elizabeth Knight of Abbeville, Ga., the late Clarence F. Knight Jr., and of the late Talmadge and Mary Robinson.

He is a 1999 graduate of Bainbridge High School, received his undergraduate degree in 2004 from the University of Georgia, and a Master’s in Forest Resources from UGA’s Warnell School in 2008. He is a research associate II at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 31, at 5:30 p.m., at Newcastle Wedding Gardens in Sacramento, where the reception will follow.
