Jacquelynn Correll Harvey, 81, of Jakin, Ga., passed away Monday, June 17, 2013, at her residence.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Harvey Cemetery on River Road, in Jakin, with the Rev. Garth Duke-Barton and the Rev. Charles Dennis officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service at the family home, 5109 River Road, Jakin, GA 39861. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 117 S. Donalson St., Bainbridge, GA 39817 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.

Mrs. Harvey was born Feb. 3, 1932, in Blakely, Ga., the daughter of George Jackson Correll and Sarah Malinda Davis Correll. She was a homemaker and member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Donalsonville, Ga. Mrs. Harvey was also a member of her local Cancer Society, a quilting club, and a bridge club.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Carlton L. Correll.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Rev. Doug Harvey of Jakin; her children, Branan Harvey of Jakin, Sarah Avery of Jakin, and Rebecca Luke of Valdosta, Ga.; her sister, Patricia Cox of Lindenhurst, Ill.; and her grandchildren, George Q. Avery of Jakin, and Adair E. Carter of Valdosta, GA.
