This Saturday, the Bainbridge-Decatur County YMCA is celebrating the national YMCA’s “Healthy Kids Day” campaign with a free community event that encourages kids to stay in shape.

The Healthy Kids Day is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will feature fun, active play and educational activities, including an obstacle course, “step it up” story time, zumba and a bike rodeo. There will also be information available from a variety of community health and wellness organizations, including Memorial Hospital, Amelia Medical Plaza, local dentist Dr. Chip Walden and area public-safety departments.

We encourage all families to attend this event and learn some of the ways to keep your children as healthy as they can be.
