Joe B. Taylor, 78, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at his residence.

There will be no local services. Interment will be at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lake Worth, FL. Online visitors may sign the guest register at

Mr. Taylor was born August 25, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of John B. Taylor and Maddie Christine Forbes Taylor. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. Mr. Taylor was a newspaper printer for the Palm Beach Post Times was a talented artist who painted many beautiful pictures. The family would like to thank Hospice of Southwest Georgia, Pastor Robert Johns, and the Faceville community.

Survivors include his step-son, Marvin Tomlinson of Marietta, GA; his step-daughters, Lorraine Guffey and her husband, Russell, of Bainbridge, GA, Sandra Howell of Bainbridge, GA, and Faith Case and her husband, Tommy, of Stockbridge, GA; his brother Steve Taylor of Massachusetts; his sister, Adele Monte and her husband, Ken, of Ocala, FL; his 13 grandchildren; his 24 great-grandchildren; and his great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wives, Lillie Mae Taylor and Mary Faith Taylor; and his brother, Stuart Taylor.
