Amelia Medical Plaza is a good addition

The new Amelia Medical Plaza, which held an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday evening, is a positive addition to the medical community.
The newly-constructed modern medical office complex houses six primary care physicians and a nurse practitioner, four of whom are new to the community. It is also a forward looking concept, as it has two additional offices available for recruitment of additional medical personnel.
But, perhaps the biggest assets are that there are now doctors accepting new patients, and the extended office hours (Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) offer patients more convenient accessibility to those physicians. It is hoped this may reduce some of the non-emergency visits made to the emergency room.
Memorial Hospital and Manor is to be commended for this positive addition.
