• Harvest America & Beyond Ministries, located at 1610 Old Quincy Road, Bainbridge, begins hosting a Favored by God Ministries four-day Conference, nightly at 7 p.m., Wednesday through Friday. Saturday’s service will be at 6 p.m. Guest speakers are Bishop Wade McCrae of Valdosta on Wednesday and Thursday, Bishop Victor Powell of Albany on Friday, and conference host, Prophetess Diana Williams on Saturday, Wednesday, April 27.
• SWGA Employer Committee will have its next quarterly meeting at noon at the Dep’t. of Labor Bainbridge Career Center. All area employers are invited to attend. Thursday evening will be a musical program. Friday business begins at 9 a.m. and speakers are Rev. Ananisa Hopkins III, Deacon Johnny Newkirk, Rev. David Johnson, President address by Rev. John W. Greene Jr., and Rev. Jerome Pace. Saturday events begin at 9 a.m. and include the Missionary Dept. Marching Music, sermon from Rev. Dr. Flossie Smith, Missionary President Bobbie Marcus, and closing sermon from Rev. Sylvester Williams.

• Deep South Rider SpringFest 2013, opens at 1754 Pond Town Road. Gates open at 5 p.m. Motorcycle and music festival to raise funds for Bainbridge BikeFest property development. Powered camp sites are $60. Event runs through Sunday, April 28.
• Climax Mission Church, located at 3053 Thomasville Road, Climax, will hold Holy Ghost Revival services every Friday night at 7 p.m.
• New Birth Christian Center will host Dr. Janet Clary, of Tallahassee, Fla., as speaker in a first-year anniversary celebration of Prophet Brian Lewis. The event will be at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church, 849 MLK Drive, at 7:30 p.m.

• St. Thomas M.B. Church, located at 198 Edwards Road, Fowlstown, will celebrate the annual Men and Women Day at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Charles McDonald and Mt. Early M.B. Church, of Albany, Ga., in charge of the services. Dinner will be served.
• Calvary Baptist Church, located at 601 Chason St., will begin a revival that runs through Wednesday, May 1, with Dr. Allen Hatch of Abilene, Texas, as the evangelist. Sunday services are at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday services are at 7 p.m. nightly.
• Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church, located 1810 S. West St., Bainbridge, will observe Pastor Jerome Severson’s 14th anniversary with two services. The 11:30 a.m. service will have Rev. Randall Hines of Kingdom Harvest Fellowship as guest speaker. A second service will be held at 2 p.m. with Rev. J.L. Kegler of Blakely speaking. Dinner will be served following the second service.

Wednesday, May 1
• First African Baptist Church, located at 515 Webster St., Bainbridge, will start a revival that runs through Friday at 7:30 p.m. nightly. Evangelist will be Rev. Henry Flowers III, pastor of First African Baptist Church of West Bainbridge.
• Poplar Springs M.B. Church, located at 409 Mobley Road in Grady County near Whigham and Climax, will begin a celebration of their 189th church anniversary with Rev. Dr. H. Teague from Star of Bethlehem Church as guest speaker. Thursday speaker will be the Rev. M. Evans of New Corinth Church. Friday will be the Rev. Kelvin Wells of Christ Tabernacle. Sunday services begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Peter Roger of Lily Hill Church in Climax as speaker.

Saturday, May 4
• “Safe on the Water,” (water safety education and family festival) sponsored by the Jackson County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Department and the Town of Sneads Park on Lake Seminole, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• “Touch a Truck” sponsored by the City of Bainbridge, children and families can come to Willis Park and see all of the heavy equipment, police cars and fire trucks the city government uses up close and in person, 9 a.m. to noon
• Bainbridge Church of Christ, located at 1001 Culbreth St., will have a Ladies Day beginning at 9 a.m.

• New Birth Christian Center will conclude its month-long celebration of the first year anniversary of Prophet Brian Lewis with a message brought by Dr. Jackie Porter at 4 p.m. Location to be announced.
• Recovery United Methodist Church, located and 307 Recovery Road, will host The Freedom Hill Quartet in concert at 6 p.m. Bring fingerfoods or covered dish to share after the concert.
• Calvary Assembly of God, located at 3606 Spring Creek Road, Brinson, will have their 86th Homecoming service at 10:30 a.m. Morning speaker is Rev. Bobby Carnley of Jay, Fla., with the Hymn Masters and local singers providing special music. Dinner will be served at 12:30. Bring a covered dish to pass.
• Swanswall M.B. Church, located on Swanswall Road, Brinson, will have annual Men and Women’s Day at the 11:30 a.m. service. Rev. Willie J. Kegler will be the speaker.

• Second St. James M.B. Church, located at 1912 South Potter St., will start a three-day summer revival at 7:30 p.m. nightly, running through the 17th. Pastor Willie Smiley of St. Thomas M.B. Church will lead the services.

Saturday, May 18
• CASA 2013 Golf Tournament, Bainbridge Country Club. “Swing a Club for CASA Kids” charity golf tournament. Registration at 7:30 a.m. with shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. $40 per person, $160 per team.
