• Mt. Gilead Free Will Baptist Church, located at 2932 Spring Creek Road, Brinson, will host Squire Parson in concert at 7 p.m.

Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, located in Vada, will begin a spring revival that runs through the 18th at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Hugh Rockett will be the guest speaker, with special music each night.

• Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church, located at 1810 S. West St., will observe Pastor Jerome Severson’s 14th anniversary at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Kelvin Wells, Christ Tabernacle, in charge of the services.

 

Monday, April 15

• Tax Day

Mt. Zuma M.B. Church, located at 2015 Vada Hwy., Bainbridge, will begin their annual revival that runs through the 19th, at 7:30 p.m., with the Rev. Hayward Teague of Dothan, Ala. leading the services.

 

Tuesday, April 16

New Salem Freewill Baptist Church, located at 2573 Spring Creek Road, will begin the observance of pastor Archie Crews anniversary and the 139 church anniversary. Services are at 7:30 p.m. each night of the week and concludes on Sunday, April 21 at 11 a.m. service. Special speakers are Pastors Belinda Corley, Huelett Powell, Percy Leggett and Calvin Isom.

 

Friday, April 19

New Birth Christian Center continues celebration of the first year anniversary of Pastor Brian Lewis. Service at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church, 849 MLK Drive, with Evangelist Grace Cooper as speaker.

Deep South Rider SpringFest 2013, opens at 1754 Pond Town Road. Gates open at 5 p.m. Motorcycle and music festival to raise funds for Bainbridge BikeFest property development. Powered camp sites $60.00. Event runs through Sunday, 28th.

• New Birth Christian Center will host Dr. Janet Clary of Tallahassee as speaker in a first-year anniversary celebration of Prophet Brian Lewis. The event will be at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church, 849 MLK Drive.

Oak City Cemetery Living History Tour, Come experience Bainbridge’s rich history and the truths, tales and folklores of some of its most famous residents, 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

 

Sunday, April 28

St. Thomas M.B. Church, located at 198 Edwards Road, Fowlstown, will celebrate the annual Men and Women Day at 2 p.m. with Rev. Charles McDonald and Mt. Early M.B. Church of Albany in charge of the services. Dinner will be served.

• “Safe on the Water,” (water safety education and family festival) sponsored by the Jackson County (Fla.) Sheriff’s Department and the Town of Sneads Park on Lake Seminole, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“Touch a Truck” sponsored by the City of Bainbridge, children and families can come to Willis Park and see all of the heavy equipment, police cars and fire trucks the city government uses up close and in person, 9 a.m. to noon

 

Sunday, May 5

New Birth Christian Center will conclude its month-long celebration of the first year anniversary of Prophet Brian Lewis with a message brought by Dr. Jackie Porter at 4 p.m. Location to be announced.
