Gladys L. Faircloth, 96, of Bainbridge, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Memorial Manor Nursing Home.

The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jimmy Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery, with Jamie McMillan, Jared Humphrey, Dylan Harrell, Alex McMillan, Dalton McMillan, and Al Murkerson serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Mrs. Faircloth was born Dec. 2, 1916, in Donalsonville, Ga., the daughter of Walter Murkerson and Bertha Lovett Murkerson. She was a seamstress for Williamson Dickies and was a member of West Bainbridge Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver L. Faircloth; and her son, Leo Faircloth.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Debbie Logue and her husband, Dennis, of Climax, Ricky Faircloth and his fiancee, Stephanie Barber, of Bainbridge, and Missy Harrell and her husband, Glenn, of Bainbridge; her three great-grandchildren; and her three great-great grandchildren.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
