She was a charter member of the Climax Community Club, Swine Time Organization, and Golden Agers. She loved the outdoors and could probably be described as a naturalist; especially loving to fish. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Alma Scott and Sarah Shelley; and brother, Ben Curry Sr.
Doris Curry Hobbs is survived by her sister, Rachel Tate of Birmingham, Ala.; brothers, Hugh Curry Sr. and wife, Virginia, and Curtis Curry Sr., all of Climax; 31 nieces and nephews; and numerous friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Hobbs’s honor to Gentiva Hospice, 432 East Shotwell Street, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
