The Bank of the Ozarks in Bainbridge will soon celebrate the career of Lorenzo W. Allen, who worked at the bank for 44 years, from 1968 to Dec. 31, 2012.
The public is invited to attend Allen’s retirement celebration this Thursday, Jan. 31, at 5 p.m., in the Bank of the Ozarks lobby, located at 226 S. Broad St.
Allen worked at the bank in many capacities, but mostly as its courier and office assistant.
Allen and his wife, Evon, have been married for 51 years. They have three children, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Allen has called Bainbridge home for 55 years. He was born and raised in Baker County, Ga., and was child No. 7 of a family of 12 children. His hobbies include fishing and all sports — especially baseball and football.
He attends the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church in Baker County, where he serves on the Deacon and Trustee Boards. He also loves Sunday school and his Bible study groups.
