Glenn Holley McCollum, 63, of Conyers, Ga., died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at 4:30 p.m., at Scot Ward’s Green Meadow Chapel, with the Rev. Perry Kirk officiating. The family will receive friends at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leoimyosarcoma Cancer Research at MD Anderson Cancer Center, honoring Sharon Knight and in remembrance of Louise McCollum, Attention Allison Lent, PO Box 301439, Unit 705, Houston, TX 77230-1439.

He was a University of Georgia graduate with a BBA degree and worked at Kroger for the last 39 years. Glenn was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan — “Go Dawgs.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.B. and Louise McCollum, and brother, Joe McCollum.

Mr. McCollum is survived by his wife, Norma, sisters and brothers-in-law, Jan and Curtis Barber, of Roanoke, Va., Sharon and Collins Knight, of Albany, Ga.; special friends, Janice Lunsford, and her daughter, Lyn Marie Haynie, and nieces and nephews.

Scot Ward Funeral Services, 699 American Legion Road, Conyers is in charge of the arrangements.
