Two local civic clubs are seeking nominations for their annual awards.

The Pilot Club needs nominations for the Woman of the Year, which would include a letter of recommendation and an explanation of how the woman has enhanced the quality of life in Decatur County. They should be submitted to “Pilot Club, Woman of the Year Committee, 102 E. Broughton St., Bainbridge, GA” or faxed to 1-888-882-9574. The deadline for submittal is Dec. 31, and nominations should include the name and contact information of the submitter. The Kiwanis Club also needs nominations for its Man of the Year. Letters should be typed on one page and mailed to “Kiwanis Club, Attn: James Reece, P.O. Box 401, Bainbridge, GA 39818.” For assistance, call Reece at (229) 236-7205. The deadline for nominations is Jan. 3, 2013.

Both awards will be given out during the annual Chamber of Commerce banquet on Jan. 24, 2013.
