Judson H. Phillips, 80, of Quincy, Fla., passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Gadsden Memorial Hospital in Quincy.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Thomas Kennedy and the Rev. Mike Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Brinson Cemetery, with Craig Phillips, Tony Durham, Tim Phillips, Denny Powell, Mark Harrison and Daniel Fewell serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Ivey Funeral Home.

Mr. Phillips was born Oct. 20, 1932, in Bainbridge, the son of Hyman Phillips and Anna Powell Phillips. He was veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War, and was a retired welder. He was a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans and a member of the Santa Clara Baptist Church in Quincy.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steve Phillips.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lou Durham Phillips of Quincy; his sons, Terry W. Phillips and his wife, Theresa, and Graham Phillips, all of Quincy; his daughters, Kaye Phillips Cook and her husband, Ronnie, of Bainbridge, and Sherrie Phillips Baily and her husband, Doug, of Bainbridge; his brother, Billy Phillips and his wife, Mary, of Climax; his grandchildren, Leon Barwick, Heath Barwick, Amanda Murkerson, Steven Phillips, Meighan Phillips, Matthew Cook, and Jennifer Cook; and his great-grandchildren, Gracie Barwick and Maddox Murkerson.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
