The City of Bainbridge is selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a 16 GB Apple iPad. The raffle is a fundraiser to benefit the local Mayors’ Christmas Motorcade.
The annual Mayors’ Christmas Motorcade, sponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association, has a 54-year history of success in making a difference in the needs of patients housed in mental health and retardation hospitals throughout the State of Georgia.
Each year the City of Bainbridge donates to the Southwestern State Hospital, in Thomasville, Ga., which houses approximately 60 patients.
In addition to purchasing a raffle ticket, residents can help by donating new and unwrapped gifts, including personal care items, clothing, games and movies. Representatives from the City of Bainbridge will travel to Southwestern State Hospital on Dec. 13, to donate all of the items collected.
For more information on the raffle or Mayors’ Christmas Motorcade, call (229) 248-2000, or visit www.bainbridgecity.com, where there is also a listing of needed items posted.
