Services for Delila Elizabeth (Betty) Anderson, 91, of Cairo, Ga., who passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital on Monday, October 29, 2012, will be held at 3 p.m., on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, in Cairo. Rev. Katie Garrison and Rev. Dewayne Atkinson will officiate.
Active and honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons, Ronnie, Bradley and Bryce Callahan, Robert Callahan, Randy and Jacob Callahan, Scott and Luke Ferguson, Greg and Harley Ponder, Eric and Stormy Thatcher, Jordon Morrow and Jamie Spradley.
Betty was born on Jan. 15, 1921, in Calvary, Ga., to the late Jessie Lee and Bessie Irene Moore Harrison. She was one of 10 children and was a dedicated homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Jean and Jimmie Laing of Whigham; a son, Larry and Barbara Callahan of Cairo; a sister, Eunice Valentini of Columbus, Ga.; a brother, Council and Ivy Harrison of Ft. Mitchell, Ala.; and the following sisters-in-law: Reba Harrison of Climax, Love Harrison of Columbus, Ann Harrison of Ellerslie, Ga. and Elaine Harrison of Detroit, Mich.; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the funeral hour.
Clark Funeral Home of Cairo is in charge of the arrangements.
