On Oct. 3, the Social Science Club and the Political Guild political science club combined their resources to set up a voter registration table and voting machine demonstration on campus. Combined with a voter registration event staged by the clubs earlier this year, more than 100 new voters have been added to Decatur County’s and other surrounding counties’ rolls.

Supervising the registration of voters and guiding students through the procedures for voting with Georgia’s electronic voting machines was Dr. Ray Chambers. Chambers is a Professor Emeritus from the college and is currently Chairman of the Board of Elections for Decatur County.
