St. Thomas M.B. Church, at 158 Edward Road, Fowlstown, will have a Gospel Explosion 2012 at 6 p.m., with many choirs and gospel groups, including Apostle Rosilyn Copeland & One Voice of Quincy and Minister Febe & The Chosen Ones of Tallahassee.

• Bainbridge Cruisers meeting and Cruise-In, Dairy Queen, 6:45 p.m.

• Bainbridge-Decatur Co. Humane Society, 2nd annual Barks and Bones at Bainbridge Country Club, 7 to 11 p.m. A Margaritaville Beach Bash, featuring music, dancing, themed food and desserts.

Greater Macedonia M.B. Church, located at 1006 Holly St., will observe Family and Friends Day on Oct. 6 and 7. Saturday at 12 noon at the Boat Basin park. Sunday morning worship is at 10:45 a.m. Guests are Antioch M.B. Church, Choir and ushers.

Magnolia M.B. Church, 1210 Center St., near Fairgrounds, will have the annual Men’s and Women’s Day on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 3 p.m. with Rev. John Thomas and Evangelist Sylvia Copeland as speakers.

St. John’s Episcopal Church, located at 516 E. Broughton Street, will offer a Blessing of the Animals at 3 p.m. on the church lawn. Everyone is invited to bring their pets or companion animals for a blessing. All animals must be on a leash or in a crate.
