Henry Holloway

Henry Luther Holloway, 89, of Lenoir, N.C., passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, in Hudson, N.C.
Mr. Holloway was born in Georgia to the late Emanuel Henry Holloway and Alice Lenora Holloway. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, proudly serving during World War II. He was employed with Bernhardt Furniture for 23 years and was an active member of North Catawba Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Annie Jeanette Lord Holloway of the home; his daughters, Glenda Harbison and husband Morgan of Granite Falls, N.C., Joyce Watson and husband Mike of Hickory, N.C., and Marsha Harbison and husband C. Gunter of Granite Falls; his son, Stephen Holloway and wife Kim of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Emma Williams of Bainbridge; grandchildren, Emily Moore, Erica Harbison, Martin Watson and wife Ashley, Christopher Holloway, Katherine Holloway, and step-grandchild, Amanda Welty; great-grandchildren, Elijah Moore and Damon Moore.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at 2:30 p.m., at North Catawba Baptist Church, with Pastor Doug St. John officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday at the church from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
