Laura L. Smith, 91, of Bainbridge, passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 at her sister’s residence in Pensacola, Fla.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at Sylvania Cemetery with Rev. Donna Sue Roberts officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012 at Ivey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith was born Oct. 29, 1920 in Aliceville, Ala., the daughter of William Franklin Jones and Odie Weeze Lee Jones. She retired from the postal data center in Atlanta, and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C. J. Smith; three brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include her brother, John Lofton Jones of Bainbridge; and her sister, Ethel I. Britt of Pensacola.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
