Mary Erleen Herring Hall Wiggins, 90, of Iron City, Ga.,  passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Oak City Cemetery, with Rev. Talmadge Worsley officiating and her grandchildren serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel, prior to the graveside funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a local church of your choice or to Gentiva Hospice, 432 E. Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39819.

Mrs. Wiggins was born Dec. 8, 1921, in Dothan, Ala., the daughter of George Ray Herring and Annie Mae Hoffman Herring. She and her husband, the late Robert E. Hall, moved to Bainbridge, in 1946, to start their own business, South Georgia Granite Company. She was of the Christian faith and a loving mother of four children, a sister to six siblings, and a friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert E. Hall, and Harry A. Wiggins; and her sister, Lorraine Herring Higgins.

Survivors include her son, Gene Hall and his wife, Barbara, of Statesville, N.C.; her three daughters, Patricia Hall Williams and her husband, T.E., of Iron City, Ga., Scarlett Hall Funderburke of Bainbridge, and Julia Hall Johnson of Amelia Island, Fla.; her brother, George B. Herring and his wife, Muriel, of Montgomery, Ala.; her five sisters, Bobbie Whitehead of Dothan, Mae Helon Friant of Summerset, Wis., Dot Nixon of Pinkard, Ala., Martha Pope of Dothan, and Sara Allgood and her husband, Jimmy, of Dothan; her 10 grandchildren, Quinn Williams and his wife, Selena, Andy Williams and his wife, Lisa, Jamie Williams and his wife, Micki, David Funderburke and his wife, Frankie, Jay Funderburke, Jennifer Funderburke Boutwell and her husband, Rick, Rochelle Hall Hobbgood, Robb Hall, Michael Johnson and his wife, Brandy, and Jamey Johnson; her 21 great-grandchildren; and her three great-great grandchildren.
