Mrs. Abbie R. Hatton, 79, passed away Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at South Georgia Medical Center, in Valdosta, Ga.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Wayne McDonald and Mr. Daniel Tomlinson officiating, and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be at Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery, near Donalsonville, Ga.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Mrs. Hatton was born Nov. 23, 1932, near Donalsonville, the daughter of Wiley Moat and Lessie Miller Moat. She was a dedicated homemaker and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Glenn Hatton and his wife, Linda, of Donalsonville, and Donald Hatton and his companion, David Elder, of Atlanta, Ga.; her daughter, Gail Tomlinson and her husband, Keith, of Brinson; her brother, J.W. Moat and his wife, Grace, of Cairo, Ga.; and her granddaughter, Melissa Williamson and her husband, Timmy, of Bainbridge.
