Ronald David Josey, 62, of Bainbridge, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Medical Center of Central Georgia, in Macon, Ga.
The funeral service was held on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Mike Nichols officiating.
Interment followed at Colquitt City Cemetery, with Ray Quigg, Fred Roberts, Greg Costner, Kevin Kelly, Glen Hall and Terry Everett serving as active pallbearers.
Mr. Josey was born Nov. 9, 1949, in Bainbridge, the son of Ervin “Sambo” Josey and Ollie Bridges Josey. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1967, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War, and was a sales representative. Mr. Josey was a member of the Dixie Bikers Association and the Deep South Riders.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Josey.
Survivors include his son, Ronald David Josey Jr. of Brinson; his daughter, Ashlee Josey Benner of Enterprise, Ala.; and his grandchildren, Brianna Benner, Tyler Benner, Chance Benner, Chatham Josey, and Rylan Josey.
Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
