A Celebration of Life for Brenda Joyce Anthony, 61, of Wilmington, Del., formerly of Bainbridge, was held Friday, July 20, 2012, at Canaan Baptist Church, in New Castle, Del., with Pastor Mercides Anthony of Universal Holy Gate Church presiding.

Ms. Anthony was born the fourth child of Odell and Ruthelma Anthony, in Mitchell County, Ga. She grew up in Bainbridge and graduated from Hutto High School. She went on to attend college.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an older sister, Elouise Brown Anthony.

Survivors include her son, Lorenzo Lively Jr.; Fred Anthony and sister-in-law Barbara Anthony and Pastor Mercides Anthony, all of New Castle, Del.; a sister, Minister Debbie Anthony of Bainbridge and Benny Charles Anthony of New Zealand; aunts, Clyde Johnson of Atlanta, Marie Biggles of Bainbridge, Gloria Calhoun of Camilla, Ga., and a host of other relatives and friends.

Congo Funeral Home of Wilmington, Del., was in charge of the arrangements.
