Bainbridge players win top baseball awards

WILL KELLEY, LEFT, AND DUSTIN HODGE display their golden glove and best pitcher awards from the Myers Park Advance Baseball League in Tallahassee, Fla.

Bainbridge youth baseball players Dustin Hodge and Will Kelley have won baseball awards in Tallahassee Florida’s Myers Park Advance Baseball League.

Hodge won the best pitcher award and Kelley won the golden glove award for his strong defense.

Myers Park is home of Tallahassee’s advanced play league for 11-and-12 -year-olds.

It brings together baseball players from all parts of Leon County and is the most competitive 11-and-12-year-old bsseball program offered by Tallahassee’s Parks and Recreation Department.

The Myers Park League, which operates under rules of the Dizzy Dean Baseball Program, is made up of six teams that include up to 30 11-year-olds and 42 12-year-olds.
