Hatcher, Burke announce engagement

ENGAGED: Sadie Kristin Hatcher and Adam Ronald Burke

Todd and Kristin Hatcher of Donalsonville announce the engagement of their daughter, Sadie Kristin Hatcher, to Adam Ronald Burke of Donalsonville.

The bride-elect’s paternal grandparents are Shelby Jean Hatcher-Smith and Perry Smith of Rehobeth, Ala., and the late Robert Hatcher of Donalsonville. Her maternal grandparents are Bobby and Betty Sue Danley of Hacoda, Ala.

Miss Hatcher graduated from Seminole County High School with honors in 2008. This summer she will graduate summa cum laude from Valdosta State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. She will pursue a doctor of nursing practice degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston this spring.

The groom-to-be is the son of Ronnie and Susan Burke of Donalsonville. Paternal grandparents are the late D.L. “Muggs” and Patricia “Pat” Burke of Donalsonville. Maternal grandparents are the late Elmer and Flossie Moore, of Blakely, Ga.

He graduated from Seminole County High School with honors in 2007 and from Valdosta State University in 2012, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education and was the vice-president for the health and physical education class.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, Aug. 4, at 2 p.m. at Cross Pointe Church in Valdosta, Ga., with the reception to follow. No local invitations are being sent. All family and friends are invited to join in this celebration of marriage.
