• Port City Church of God — The church, located at 2351 Dothan Road, Bainbridge, will be the site of the first anniversary celebration of the Gospel Jam on May 19 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. It is regularly held the third Saturday of the month beginning at 6 p.m. May 19 has an earlier starting time.
• First Flint River M.B. Congress of Christian Education — The meeting of the congress, hosted at Pine Hill M.B. Church, located at 1048 Pine Hill Road, Bainbridge, concludes Saturday afternoon, May 19.
• Travelers Rest M.B. Church — The church, located at 661 Cal Thomas Road, in Whigham, Ga., will hold deacon ordination services on May 19 at 6 p.m. with Pastor Deon Williams as guest preacher.
• Donalsonville First Assembly of God — The church, located at 606 N. Tennille Ave., in Donalsonville, Ga., will celebrate homecoming on May 20. Activities begin with a 10:30 a.m. service with Rev. Charles Reese, Pastor of Barrow Worship Center in Winder, Ga., as guest speaker. Following a lunch at church, The Hymn Masters will lead a concert of afternoon singing.
• Elizabeth A.M.E. Church — The church, located at 2815 Lincoln Drive, in Chattahoochee, Fla., will hold the annual “100 Men and Women in Black & White” on May 20 at 11 a.m., featuring Rev. Dr. Patricia F. Patterson of Thomasville, Ga., and Eastman, Ga. as guest speaker.
• Emanuel M.B. Church — The church, located on Emanuel Church Road, Fowlstown, will observe the Missionary Society 11th Anniversary on May 20 at 3 p.m. on the theme “Sharing your Blessing with Others.” Guest speaker will be Bertha Thompson of First African Baptist Church.
• Union M.B. Church — The church, located at 703 Martin St., West Bainbridge, will observe the annual Fellowship Day Sunday, May, 20 at the 11 a.m. service. The theme is Family and Friends Day and food will be served.
• Mount Nebo M.B. Church — The church, located on Lake Douglas Road, will hold a revival starting Monday, May 21, through Friday, May 25, at 7:30 nightly. Rev. John Gardner of Saint Elizabeth Church of Quincy is the evangelist for the week.
• First Macedonia M.B. Church — The church, located on Cooktown Road will hold a revival from May 21-25 at 7:30 p.m. nightly, with Rev. D.R. Fulton of Albany as evangelist.
• Morris Temple Community First Born Church of the Living God — The church, located at 300 Poplar Ave., Bainbridge, will host the District Assembly and Sunday School Convention on May 22-25 at 11:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. with Mother Dorothy Wilson and Minister Ben Smith in charge.
• E.D.E.N. International Ministries — Located at 2550 Old Whigham Road, will have a Friday Nite Explosion pre-anniversary celebration for Dr. Calvin L. Lewis on May 25 at 7:30 p.m. Apostle Rosilyn Walker-Copeland will be guest speaker.
• Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church — The church, located at 1810 S. West St., will hold the annual Mission March on Saturday, May 26 at 7 p.m.
• Second Elizabeth M.B. Church — The church, located at 2718 Attapulgus Highway, in Quincy, Fla., will host the annual independent pallbearers program on Sunday, May 27, at 11 a.m. with guest Minister Alonza Harrison of Bainbridge. Dinner will follow the service.
• Lily Hill M.B. Church — The church, located in Climax, will celebrate its 70th anniversary on Sunday, May 27, at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Willie Williams and Pleasant Hill M.B. Church as guest participants.
• Pine Hill M.B. Church — The church, located at 1048 Pine Hill Road, is sponsoring an afternoon “Chari-Tea” Fellowship on Saturday, June 2, from 2-4 p.m. at the Kirbo Center, as a fundraiser for the Bainbridge Oncology Support Team. • Mt. Zuma M.B. Church — The church, located at 2015 Vada Road, Bainbridge, will have an appreciation service for Rev. and Mrs. Harry Mitchell Sr. on Sunday, June 10 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Walter White Jr. of Dothan, Ala. as guest speaker. Dinner will be served.
• New Birth Worship Center — The church, located at 1701 Bethel Road, Bainbridge, will hold a Prophetic Service on June 10 at 7 p.m.
• Highway Free Will Baptist Church — The church, located 3376 Dothan Road, Brinson, will host a Homecoming on June 10. Services are at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. S.E. Newberry, of Quincy, Fla., as guest speaker. A covered dish will follow the services and singing begins at 1:30 p.m., featuring The Regals.
• Calvary Baptist Church — The church, located at 601 Chason St., will be the site for the 4th annual Patriotic Celebration to be held on Sunday, July 1. Musicians and singers are needed to participate in this celebration of God and country, which is open to all citizens of Decatur County.
