I really don’t trust these regional commissions

Dear Editor, as an old Searchlight reader, I read in your April 28 Page 1A comments by Mr. Gerald Goosby, the transportation specialist with the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission.
Dr. Bob Lane does not see how this 1-percent tax will benefit us. If you wait until the Southwest Georgia Regional Commission explains it, don’t hold your breath. I attended several February and March 2012 meetings on countywide zoning. Hundreds of questions were asked, but none were answered satisfactorily.
This Southwest Georgia Regional Commission is a big con with a $26 million budget covering 14 counties, with the head man’s salary at about $300,000 per year. I feel that this organization is backed by Agenda 21 of the United Nations.
Mr. Dan Bollinger Sr. lied at one of the Grady County meetings. He said he had never heard of Agenda 21. This organization, the SWGRC, or the “R. C.” as they call themselves, intend to use the county planning commission and the county commissions to vote for county zoning regulations, preventing voters a vote in the matter. But the Grady County Commission outfoxed them. Later, I’ll tell you how they did it.
