Bank Of the Ozarks names local man to Board of Directors

George Gleason, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Bank of the Ozarks, Inc., recently announced the election of Dr. John Reynolds of Bainbridge, to the company’s and its subsidiary bank’s Boards of Directors, according to a press release from the company.

“Dr. John Reynolds is a valuable addition to our board as we continue to grow and expand in the Southwest,” Gleason said. “Georgia is a very important market for us with 24 percent of our offices and 24 percent of our workforce. We are very pleased to have such a distinguished director from Georgia.

Reynolds is the Pathologist and Laboratory Director for Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge. He is a Fellow in the College of American Pathologists and is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Emory University and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Emory University School of Medicine. For three generations the Reynolds family has been extensively involved in timber, business and banking endeavors in south Georgia, and Reynolds continues to be actively involved in these areas.
