Miss Palmer and Mr. Baker to wed May 19

ENGAGED: Mycla Ann Palmer and David James Kiyoski Baker

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Palmer of Bainbridge announce the engagement of their daughter, Mycla Ann Palmer of Auburn, Ala., to Mr. David James Kiyoski Baker of Jacksonville, Fla. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Baker of Hollywood, Md.

Ms. Palmer is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jake Wolffe and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Palmer, all of Bainbridge. She is a 2002 honor graduate of Bainbridge High School and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management in 2006 from the University of Georgia, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and was selected for membership in the Arch Society. She received a Master of Science degree in Higher Education from Florida State University in 2009. She is employed as an academic advisor in the Honors College at Auburn University.

Mr. Baker is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Baker of Tuskegee, Ala., and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Okamura of Honolulu, Hawaii.

He is a 2001 graduate of Leonardtown High School in Maryland. He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from Auburn University in 2008. He is employed as a project manager with Ram Jack of Florida.

The couple plans a May 19, 2012, wedding in Bainbridge.
