George Grumbles, 70, of Bainbridge, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012, at Miller County Hospital.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at Ivey Funeral Home.
Mr. Grumbles was born April 3, 1942, in Sumter, S.C., the son of George W. Grumbles and Edna Carter Grumbles. He was a graduate of Edmunds High School, Class of 1960, and of the University of Georgia. He was the owner of Grumbles Electric and Plumbing, and a member of First Baptist Church where he was a member of the Baraca Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 155, Bainbridge, GA 39818.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Grumbles of Bainbridge; his son, Glenn Grumbles and his wife, Sumi, of Tucson, Ariz.; his daughter, Stormy G. Bradshaw and her husband, Dan, of Augusta, Ga.; his sisters, Alice Wallace and her husband, Chuck, of Gilbert, S.C. and Helen Thomas and her husband, Dr. Albert Thomas, of Irmo, S.C.; and his grandchildren, Brandon Grumbles, Justin Grumbles, Robin Grumbles, Collin Grumbles, Sharon Grumbles, and Ivy Anne Bradshaw.
Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
