Mr. Edgar Busby, 85, of Brinson, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Kent Barwick officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 10, 2012, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Colquitt Funeral Home.

Mr. Busby was a member of Church of Christ and retired from Georgia Pacific in Cedar Springs.

Mr. Busby was preceded in death by one daughter, Dianne Joliff; one sister, Nina Brooks; and one brother, Lester Busby.

He is survived by one son, Paul Busby of Douglasville; one sister, Brenda Busby Harper of Lineville, Ala.; six grandchildren, Alisa Busby, Michelle Turner, Brandie Miller, Brittany Harper, Daniel Busby, and Johnny Sangrey; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one brother, William Ernest Busby of Brinson, Ga.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
