The funeral service for Mary Ingram Hatcher, 82, of Brinson, will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with her nephews serving as active pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2012 at Ivey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hatcher was born September 21, 1929 in Seminole County, Ga., the daughter of Hobson Dewey Ingram and Sallie Beatrice Battles Ingram. She died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge. She was a graduate of Miller County High School, Class of 1948. She was a nurse at Riverside Hospital and a receptionist for Dr. Henry Bridges and Dr. Philip Todaro. She later worked as the circulation manager for the Post Searchlight and a bookkeeper for Badcock Furniture Company. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Sherriel Hatcher.

Survivors include her son, Lonnie Sherriel Hatcher, Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Plant City, Fla.; her daughter, Sallie Hatcher Horne and her husband, Quinton, of Brinson; her brother, H.D. “Hoppy” Ingram, Jr. of Haines City, Fla.; her grandchildren, Lonnie S. Hatcher, III, Samantha Horne, Rebekah Hatcher, Sarah Horne, and Jessica Tiemann; and her great-grandchildren, Leah Tiemann and Levi Tiemann.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
