BHS students attend Anchor Club convention

Several members of the Anchor Club at Bainbridge High School recently attended the club’s Georgia District convention, held March 2-4 at Lake Lanier Islands, Ga.

Ashley Waddell was elected Georgia District Secretary. Meredith Conder was selected Southwest Georgia Chair for 2012-2013. Conder succeeds fellow BHS Anchor Club Hannah Williams in that office. Both Waddell and Conder, who are juniors at BHS, gave speeches before their respective elections.

The BHS Anchor Club is sponsored by the Bainbridge Pilot Club. The Anchor Club’s faculty advisor is Lee Ann Colon. Anchor Clubs are more than 50 years old and are made up of more than 9,000 young people – both male and female students – in more than 250 clubs around the world.
