The funeral service for Johnny M. Fowler, 64, of Bainbridge, will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Mosley officiating. Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

Mr. Fowler was born Sept. 28, 1947, in Waynesville, N.C., the son of Algie McKay Fowler and Estella “Kitty” Lucille Cagle Fowler. He died Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Bainbridge Health Care. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War. Mr. Fowler owned and operated Fowler Plumbing Company for many years and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Anne Rogers Fowler of Bainbridge; his sons, Jay Fowler of Tulsa, Okla. and Jamie Fowler and his wife, Holly, of Tulsa; his daughter, Tisha Barnard and her husband, Daniel, of Bainbridge; his brother, Dale Fowler of Statesville, N.C.; his sister, Jean Griffin of Mars Hill, N.C.; and his two grandchildren, Sophia Fowler and Brannon Hardgrove.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
