Johnnie L. English Jr. and Demetriss English and Tametris L. English, all of Bainbridge, announce the engagement of their daughter Joan Takeira English to Bobby Stubbs III of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Willie Roy Tatum Sr. of Pulaski, Tenn., Joan E. Coleman of Bainbridge and the late Josephine A. Tatum and Johnnie L. English Sr.

Miss English is a 2008 graduate of Rickards High School in Tallahassee, Fla. and enrolled at Bainbridge College in the LPN program.

The groom-to-be is the son of Valerie Stubbs of Bainbridge and of Bobby Stubbs Jr. and Regina Stubbs of Houma, La. He is the grandson of Roberta Jackson of Bainbridge, Bobby Stubbs Sr.and Lucy, of Bainbridge, and the late Willie C. Reed.

He is a 2006 graduate of Bainbridge High School and is employed by Coastal Plywood Co.

The wedding is scheduled for March 3 at 12 noon at the Boat Basin Community Center where the reception will follow.
