Mrs. Mary Magdaline Owens Strickland, 89, of Calvary, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at Grady General Hospital in Cairo. The funeral service will be private and interment will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Climax.

Mrs. Strickland was born on Oct. 4, 1922, in Calhoun County, Fla., to the late Andrew P. and Emma Jeter Owens. On October 27, 1938, she married Johnnie Woodrow Keel and on March 15, 1981, she married J.D. Strickland. Both husbands preceded her in death. Mrs. Strickland was a homemaker and member of the Church of God in Bainbridge.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; daughters, Audrey Dodson and Edna Goolsby.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Frances and David Harriman of Venice Fla., Brenda Gail and Cecil White of Ga.; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in Florida, Texas and Georgia; and a sister, Clara Mae Murphy of Florida.
