Rosalind Elizabeth Leng Palmer, 94, passed peacefully January 10, 2012, with loving care at Avante of Jacksonville Beach Nursing and Rehab Center.
Beloved wife of the late Eugene C. Palmer, she was born in Newport, Wales on Oct. 13, 1917. Daughter of the late Herbert & Julia Dennis Leng, she was also predeceased by brothers Philip and Roy Leng and sister Lillian L. Lyden.
Mrs. Palmer was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church, an avid boater, fisherman, talented knitter and creative flower arranger. She was a resident of Stuart, Fla. for 35 years until moving to Jacksonville Beach in 2009.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Richardson (Tom) of Jacksonville Beach, granddaughters Kate Richardson of Jacksonville and Sara Allen (Scott) of Jacksonville Beach and one great-granddaughter.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Palmer will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 at Pine Forest Baptist Church Cemetery, Bainbridge, Georgia with Rev. Bruce McCracken officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pine Forest Baptist Church, 104 Pine Forest Road, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
