Jim Henry Donalson, 72, beloved father, grandfather and friend, born Monday, May 29, 1939, in Bainbridge, to Junior Donalson and Louise (Vickers) Donalson, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, in Baytown, Texas, with his loving family by his side.

Originally from Bainbridge, Jim served his country proudly and honorably in the U.S. Navy. After his service to his country, Jim returned home to Bainbridge, where he spent many years raising a family and retiring from Floyd Brothers in Bainbridge.

After his retirement, Jim moved to Crosby, Texas, and has been a resident for over five years. Jim enjoyed many things in his free time such as fishing and racing, but what he loved most of all were the times he shared with his beloved family and friends. Fond memories will always be cherished of Jim, as he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jim is preceded in death by his loving parents, Junior and Louise Donalson; his beloved second wife of 25 years, Morrell Donalson, and one sister.

Jim is survived by his son, Keith Donalson and wife Angie; daughter, Lisa Hodges; eight grandchildren, Darren Donalson and wife Jennie, Jammie L. Donalson, Alisha Godby Turner, Brandon Hodges, Nicholas Donalson, Makayla Hodges, Skylar Hodges and Jessica Meighan; one great-granddaughter, Melanie Donalson and numerous other family members and friends.

Services have been entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Road, Highlands, Texas 77562.
