They will open their Region 1-AAAA schedule this weekend, with a pair of home games.

They will host the Thomas County Central High School Lady Yellow Jackets on Friday at 6 p.m., and the Lee County High School Lady Trojans on Saturday at 6 p.m.

Cochran said he thought his Lady Cats played their best game of the season Saturday against Miller County.

“We handled the ball well, got some open shots and sank the  majority of them,” he said. “It was important that we played well in Miller County, because we need to continue that good play when our region schedule starts this weekend.

“I am very proud of all of our young ladies. They show a lot of hustle and desire every time they go out on the court.”

Behind Wade and Jackson in the Lady Cats’ scoring column Saturday night were Diamond Bouie with nine points, Alex Carter with six, Jasmine Kelly with four, Khadeja Cooper with three and Kim Greene with two.
