Opal Lee Clinton Pippins Larson, 82, of Bainbridge, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at her residence.
The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Davidson officiating and will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery.
The family received friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Ivey Funeral Home, prior to the funeral service.
Mrs. Larson was born Feb. 23, 1929, in Bainbridge, the daughter of John Livingston Clinton and Lola Kumie Hutto Clinton. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith.
Mrs. Larson was preceded in death by her brothers, John Wesley Clinton, John Clinton Jr., David Daniel Clinton, and William Wade Clinton Sr.; and her sister, Lorene Emami.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Gary Larson of Bainbridge; her seven children, Charles Pippins and his wife, Ruth, of Saucier, Miss., Dell Pippins Jr. and his wife, Mary Lou, of Bainbridge, LuJane Bracken and her husband, Tim, of Brinson, Beverly Castanon and her husband, Jesus, of Donalsonville, Ga., Barbara Adams and her husband, Paul Adams Jr., of Bainbridge, Johnny Wayne Pippins of Bainbridge, and Ralph Randall Pippins of Bainbridge; her sister, Ora Irene Franklin of Hephzibah, Ga.; her 24 grandchildren; and her 43 great-grandchildren.
Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
