There will be a “Post-Secondary Opportunities Fair” at the Bainbridge High School gymnasium Tuesday, Jan. 24, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This fair is presented by the Decatur County Schools Special Education Department and Title I. Organizations that plan to attend include Georgia Pines, Ark of Albany, DHR/Vocational Rehabilitation, Bainbridge College, BAIN, Parent to Parent of Georgia, Albany Technical College, Easter Seals, Decatur County Human Resources Director, Social Security Administration, Turner Job Corps, Decatur County Department of Resources, Southwest Georgia Tech, and the Southwest Georgia Library for Accessible Services.

There are various options for young people entering the post-secondary phase of their lives. Some will go to college, others will get technical training, and others still will seek employment right after leaving high school. Supports are crucial in order for these many young men and women to be successful. Decatur County Schools (DCS) is offering its first annual Post-Secondary Opportunities Fair to serve as another valuable resource for students and parents as they make plans for post-secondary school options. Represented agencies and organizations encourage participants to visit their booths, where information about their organizations may be found.
