Services for Deleatha Jean Armstrong, 69, of Brandon, Miss., who died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012, were held Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at Pleasant Union Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in Mudville Cemetery.

Mrs. Armstrong taught at Crossgates Methodist Children’s Center in Brandon and loved music and children.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Joe Armstrong and one brother, Harold “Butch” Rudd.

Survivors include one son, Richard Armstrong and daughter-in-law, Laura Armstrong of Olive Branch, Miss.; two sisters, Sherry Burdsal of Brandon and Pam Shy of Vicksburg, Miss.; one brother, Ricky Rudd of Vicksburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Crossgates Methodist Children’s Center in Brandon, Miss.

Munford Funeral Home, Millington Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
