The funeral service for Penny Pervis Grubbs, 43, of Camilla, Ga., will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. David Grubbs officiating. Active pallbearers will be Jordon Grubbs, Danny Grubbs Jr., David Donalson, David Grubbs Jr., John Mark Bryant and Matt Sharber.

The graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Palm View Cemetery in Palmetto, Fla., with Pastor Colin Rampton and Pastor Clarence Pillsbury officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at the First Church of the Nazarene.

Penny was born April 22, 1968, in Bradenton, Fla., and died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge. She was a graduate of Palmetto High School, Class of 1986, and was a rural courier associate for the U.S. Postal Service. Penny was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, and enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.

Penny was preceded in death by her father, James Pasquel Pervis.

Survivors include her husband, Roger Grubbs of Camilla; her sons, Casper Boone of Albany, Ga., and Shane Boone of Camilla; her stepdaughters, Brittany Grubbs of Bainbridge, Lauren Grubbs of Baxley, Ga., and Apryl Yoder of Sugar Creek, Ohio; her mother, Janie Flournoy Pervis of Parrish, Fla; her brothers, Wallace Pervis and his wife, Tammy, of Parrish, James Pervis of Bradenton, Fla.; and her sister, Deanna Pervis of Palmetto.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
